I can’t say enough about how amazing it was to work with Alice on our wedding photography. From the moment we got in contact, she was proactive and incredibly warm. She made herself available to talk through my neurotic bridal concerns about how my make-up would show up in photos, and worked in lock step with us to ensure that she’d be able to get to our venue smoothly and on time. Working with her leading up to the wedding showed us what a true professional she is, and how seriously she takes her craft.
These qualities were even more evident on our wedding day. She arrived dressed in all black, ready to go -- and it was a thing of beauty to witness an artist in her zone. She captured the most intimate and joyous moments of the gaggle of women who got ready with me, and made me and my husband feel completely at ease when we started the nerve wracking first look photos, literally doing breathing exercises with us at a certain point (we've now incorporated these breathing techniques into our daily lives). She deftly maneuvered our family photos and quickly became a favorite wedding guest by the end of the weekend. From then on, I could barely keep track of where she was because I had too many martinis, and also because she was somehow everywhere all at once (as shown in the photos she very quickly turned around). The photos are everything I could have dreamt of and more. Her eye, and understanding of light and tone took our photos to places I could have never imagined. I could go on and on, but hire Alice if you want a true artist to capture your special day. Where do I begin? Probably at the beginning! Alice was with me from the start of my wedding day -- while I was still slowly sipping on my coffee and working out my wedding morning jitters, capturing moments between me and my mom, me and my girlfriends, as we excitedly embarked on the day -- until the very end, when my husband and I, along with our family and friends, were scream-singing hip-hop songs and being kindly asked to leave the reception area (we were over time!).
This is to say -- Alice went above and beyond to catch each and every moment, big and small, and I could not imagine sharing my wedding day with anyone else by my side. She caught small moments between my mom, me and my husband, our families and chosen family, that we've never had captured before. She also somehow was with me every moment of the day and also found time to stage a full photo-shoot for my husband and his family in the middle of the day. She is literally a magician.
Alice was with me throughout our wedding day, smiling, laughing, cheering us on, and yet she was simultaneously a sneaky little minx, disappearing and reappearing at-the-ready having secretly staged the most perfect moments. She got every single one of my getting-ready photos while also capturing my husband and his best-man helping each other with their vests and ties. At one point I remember seeing her shooting the reception from the floor, fully laying on her tummy? I remember being like, "Holy shit, this bitch is for fucking real."
At one point during the getting-ready process I became overwhelmed, and Alice helped me usher everyone out of the room while I helped my maid-of-honor get ready in the bathroom. She then proceeded to stage and snap some fun, silly, (some semi-nude) photos of me which made me feel immediately relaxed, safe, and grounded. Alice literally helped me get back into my mind and body at a time when I felt like I was being swept up into chaos, through her presence, photos, and direction.
I love Alice with every fiber of my being, and her work is nothing less than outstanding. I could not recommend her more for ANYONE who wants to feel like a badass, beautiful bride on their wedding day. - Ana B.
We were totally blown away by the photos Alice took of our wedding. We look at them all the time, and can’t believe there was an early instant where we entertained DIYing that part of the day. We will CHERISH (!!) having the ones she took for the rest of our lives, and couldn’t be more grateful to her for all of the care and expertise that went into them. Everyone we showed them to has also been stunned. There is just so much energy and love racing through them, and the variety and freshness of the whole bunch is really jaw-dropping- from incredibly tender moments that another eye might have overlooked, to the vibrant, pulsing joy of the dance floor. When we started planning our wedding, my husband, Reuben and I both knew we wanted Alice to be our photographer. We had countless reasons. Alice and Reuben had been friends since they were kids. I had gotten to know and hang out with her on a few occasions over the last 6 years, and she always made me laugh. Not to mention the fact that anyone who knows Alice has nothing but good things to say about her. She’s talented, hardworking, hilarious, and a light that shines brightly on all those who are lucky enough to experience her presence. That’s just the start of it, though.
I’ll admit for years I had a “not so exciting” idea of what wedding photography was. I loved looking through the old wedding photos of my grandparents but besides that I hadn’t enjoyed much of what I saw on Pinterest or social media. Most of it felt stale and performative. I had no idea how artful, timeless and fabulous wedding photos could be until I saw Alice’s work.
Throughout the years I remember seeing Alice’s wedding shoots for other friends of ours and being so amazed at the way she captures the curious and beautiful subtitles of people and moments. Her work has a profound ability to make anyone stop and stare in admiration. Her work is both classic and highly individualized to the couple’s style and vibe. I remember seeing a wedding photo of a couple we know outside city hall and everything about it screamed their personalities. At that point, I was sold! If Reuben and I ever married, she’d be the one.
Alice was so professional from the start. She even arrived early to make sure she was set-up and ready for the day. During the “getting ready” photos she never made me feel like I had to pose or exhaust myself. During the actual wedding she caught some of the coolest photos I’ve ever seen! Playing with the light and capturing smiling faces.
I’ve never been super comfortable with getting my photo taken but I felt so at ease and confident with Alice. She encouraged me and I could tell she meant every word. She got our photos back to us super quickly, too! I told my brother about her and he saw her work (wedding and otherwise) and knew she would be the perfect person to shoot his wedding as well. It’s safe to say Alice is part of the family now. We love her and highly recommend her for all of your photography needs!

Where do I even begin. Alice is the most loving, thoughtful, creative, professional, and talented human and artist. She was everyone's best friend, brought a fun and positive energy, and was an amazing addition to the close circle of people around me on my wedding day. She was receptive and respectful towards any family dynamics that I felt worried about, and made everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera.
The images she delivered are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined or hoped for. I am so grateful for Alice and the moments she captured. She is incredibly talented, and we feel wildly fortunate that she traveled as far as she did to document our wedding weekend. We loved her portfolio of work and saw her unique ability to capture real moments of magic. Candid, relaxed and soulful shots mixed with posed but graceful group portraits, were all done with such a keen eye. She is gifted both behind the lens and in front. No exaggeration here, everyone commented on how lovely the photographer was. She also respected our sensitivity to post photos on her site which is why there are no accompanying photos to this review. Alice was a complete dream to have with us on our wedding day! Our photos are stunning! The mood and moment in each photo was perfectly captured for us to remember forever. Alice was such a professional, entirely calm during stressful moments coordinating lots of family members. On top of that, she is kind, warm and a complete joy to have around.
